Custom Rear Bumper

Note: This bumper is not available for sale. I live in an apartment so I can't make any more, I only made this bumper because I'm cheap. Also, CAD drawings are not available, but hopefully you can get some ideas for your own bumper.
The stock bumper is surprizingly strong, I watched somebody else with a 2nd gen 4runner bash it on some rocks and it held up pretty well. The whole thing shifted up on one side but that was about it for the major damage. However, since this is my daily driver I didn't want to drive a bashed up truck to the opera (ok, ok, to the tractor pulls).
I built this heavy duty bumper out of 2x6x3/16 rectangular steel. Being the cheap person I am, I opted for a 1 inch bolt for the hinge of the toolbox carrier rather than the standard trailer axle. Speaking of the toolbox carrier, the reason I went with that is because I still have the stock 31 inch tire and it fits just fine in the stock location. Besides, I don't want to raise the center of gravity too much. The toolbox also frees up a lot of space in the cargo area, as this is where I stored all my recovery gear. I do have the option to hang the spare tire in place of the toolbox though. A hi-lift can be mounted to the left of the toolbox, a jerry can be mounted to the right of the toolbox, and the CB antenna is mounted to the bumper frame. The main beam of the carrier is 1x2x1/8 rectangular tube and the triangle part is 1 inch diameter, 1/16th" thick tube. The only reason I used this small tube because I had a lot of it laying around.
Here's some pics:
I did end up reinforcing the toolbox carrier with 2 vertical tubes and triangulating the box. Also, I found out that the hi-lift creates some pretty strong turbulance which whipped the CB antenna around pretty bad. To remedy this I had to move the antenna to the passenger side.

Disclaimer: I do not guarantee this bumper is strong enough to tow anything, nor do I guarantee the swing away toolbox carrier is strong enough to hold weight.
